Wineskin Uninstall Mac

In a previous article, I have shown you how to install OS X El Capitan GM (golden master) or other Beta version without developer account. As I sometime still need Windows-based program such as Mikrotik Winbox, I need to have WINE (Windows Emulator) on my Mac. In this post I would like to guide you how to install Wine on OS X El Capitan. At the time of this writing, the latest version of OS X is OS X 10.11 El Capitan GM (Golden Master).

UPDATE: If you also want to install Microsoft Visio on Mac, you can follow our post how to install Visio on Mac running OS X El Capitan.

Requirements

1. Latest version of OS X El Capitan (Golden Master build at this time of this writing)
2. Latest version of Xcode (Xcode 7.0 GM, you can download it from https://imzdl.com/osx.html if you are not a registered Apple developer.
3. Homebrew package manager for OS X. We will install Wine using Homebrew package manager.

  2. Nov 18, 2017 Use the uninstaller to uninstall Mono (a sort of Wine version of.NET that will conflict with the.NET framework we actually need). Use winetricks to install.NET 4.5. Download the latest Vanilla 64-bit Wineskin engineand put it the /Library/Application Support/Wineskin/Engines folder of your Mac. Now download the TESMM installer.

The configuring section of your wrapper contains what is needed to make it like a Mac Game like EXE Flags - what command line keywords that needs to run like -windowed (for window mode) and so on.

Example below is to run Mikrotik Winbox using wine

Hopefully this post is helpful for anyone who want to install wine on OS X El Capitan.

I don't quite understand your question that well, but I'll give it a try. Wineskin usually installs stuff in packages, so check there, or try users/Library/Application Support/Wineskin. Usually to find the Library, you have to click on Users, not System, and when the thing is open, go to the top of screen and find the Go column. From there find Go to Folder, and in the box that comes up, type in Library, and the user Library comes up, and from there you can find Application support etc. The file should be called dx, btw. If you want to improve your gaming experience, especially when using wineskin, see if the game has any patches or updates, other than that, increase the RAM

hope this helps
